Final Design

Project title and summary: Lost Treasure: a game where you are a treasure hunter and you travel under the ocean and meet different obstacles.

Project medium: Twine game with gifs and illustration

Provide a detailed description of the project: In the game Lost Treasure, the player will be playing a treasure hunter looking for the long lost treasure in the sea. The player will be encountering numerous situations and obstacles to find the treasure. For example, getting bit by a fish, meeting creatures, losing oxygen, and etc. The game will be fantastical and weird. (kind of like my previous twine game with the mushrooms.) There will be multiple bad endings and a few good endings which will be hard to get to.

What is the ideal presentation for your project? Loaded onto a laptop on a desk. Can you play a twine game on your phone?

List the number of visual assets needed for this project. Specify the number of colors, size, style, type, etc. Group and sort them by complexity. Limited palette spot illustrations 3“2” (to fit twine game) for most of the scenes 3-4Limited palette gif animations (3-5sec) for important scenes full illustration for title page List any other assets needed for this project. A few background sound effects (bubbles)

If your project involves interactivity, list the ways in which the user or player interfaces with the project: Player can press on images to move one to next scene. If your project involves multiple paths or endings, list them here: There are multiple bad endings and it will be designed so that it will be more difficult for the player to get a good endings. To make it more realistic, it’s not easy to find lost treasure. The main goal is for the player to find the treasure, but it wont be easy.

If code is involved in your project, list the functionality needed: Images as links. Background fading. Maybe change image of cursor (a lot of these were covered in class.)

Does the project involve learning any new software or techniques? No
